I am trying to install Oracle for OpenView 8.05. orainst/C is hanging,and I cannot kill the process. The system does not generate any error messages when the Oracle installation hangs. I reboot the system each time it hangs, but I get the same results.

To resolve this problem, start rpc.statd and rpc.lockd so that you can access the pfs_mounted CD.
