Problem Description
I am having problems with two Oracle processes. The processes seem to be hanging on a C compile. I have updated to version A.10.32.20 of the cc compiler. I have also installed all of the required Oracle patches.
Why am I having this problem and how can I resolve it?

Operating System - HP-UX Hardware System - HP9000 Series - D370
Solution
There is a known problem with Oracle and usr/bin/sh version 78.16.1.30 or higher.
Solve the problem by installing these patches: [PHCO_16734/PACHRDME/English] [PHCO_16363/PACHRDME/English] Note: Patches can be superseded by previous versions; be sure to load the current version.
